This 12-hour course is designed to provide Master's students with a practical understanding of how international development and cooperation projects are managed once funding has been secured. Complementing existing teaching on project design and proposal development, the course focuses on the implementation phase of projects and programmes.

Students will be introduced to key dimensions of project management, including needs assessment and diagnosis, budgeting and financial management, partnerships and contractual arrangements, project governance, activity planning and implementation, monitoring and reporting, and selected aspects of evaluation and organisational learning.

The course will combine theoretical concepts with practical examples drawn from international cooperation and global health programmes. Particular emphasis will be placed on professional exposure through direct interactions with practitioners working in different functions and geographical contexts.

The course will be delivered entirely in English and is designed for a cohort of approximately 30 students. Through case studies, discussions and group work, students will develop practical skills and gain insights into the realities of working in international organisations, NGOs, foundations and development partnerships.
